The professional eel fishermen of the Mediterranean have just released 810 kg of eel on the shore of the commune of Bouzigues (Hérault department) with the help of the company Aguirrebarrena.

Since 23 December 2022, nearly 3 tonnes have been released into the sea to reduce the mortality of these silver eels, thus illustrating the contribution that the professional fishers can provide to the restoration of this stock.

23 December 2022 at Marseillan: 1148 kg.

5 January 2023 at Gruissan: 750 kg.

12 January 2023 at Bouzigues: 810 kg.
